Hospital design and medical Planning is a complex process where many stake holders and multi disciplines are involved.

 Khaled El-Sayed, Ph.D

Dr. Khaled El-Sayed is presently an assistant professor of Biomedical Engineering with the department of Electrical and Medical Engineering at Benha University. He received his B.Sc, M.Sc. and PhD from the Biomedical Engineering Department at Cairo University. During his research and academic periods, He worked in different fields of biomedical Engineering. He is working now as Medical planning consultant and the manager of medical equipment calibration laboratory in Benha University. He has participated and supervised more than hundred and seventy hospitals and healthcare facilities in all different phases. He is an editorial board member and reviewer in more than fifteen scientific journals. His research interests include Bioinformatics,Hospital design and Medical planning and multi-dimensional signal processing for biomedical applications such as Brain-Computer Interface.

Zeinab Feisal, Ph.D

Assoc. Prof. Zeinab Feisal Graduated June 2000 from Architectural Department, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, Egypt. Received Master degree in Urban Design titled “Distinctive Paths – A comparative study between paths leading to the Pyramids”, Cairo University, 2003. Received Ph.D. in Urban Design titled “Pedestrian streets between theory and appliance -Towards a methodology for pedestrianization”, Cairo University, 2007. Worked as a Researcher and Teaching Assistant in Architectural Department, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, (2001 - 2006). She worked as a stuff member in Architectural Department, Faculty of Engineering, MTI university since 2007 till 2015. During this period, she participated in organization of seven architectural events and two International Conferences. The 1st architectural Conference "Modernism Vs Islamic Architecture" held in MTI university February 2009. The 2nd International Conference "Quality of Life – towards better life" held in MTI university 2012. At the present time working as a Head of Architecture Department, Benha Faculty of Engineering, Benha university. She started the journey of Establishing the Architecture department in Benha Faculty of Engineering since 2016. Published several research papers in Urban Design, Landscape, Sustainable Architecture, Architectural Heritage Conservation and History of Architecture. Attended, reviewed and presented scientific papers in national and international conferences. Fields of Interest: Urban Design, Landscape, Sustainable Architecture, Architectural Heritage and History of Architecture

Manar El Basyoni

Manar El Basyoni is an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Architecture, Faculty of
Engineering, MTI University where she has been a full time faculty member since 2011, and also
is an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Architecture, (AAST) Arab Academy for Science,
Technology and Maritime Transport as a part time faculty member since 2014.
She graduated in 2005 from Cairo University, Faculty of engineering, Architectural Department
and she got her Master degree from Cairo University in 2014 in the field of urban design and the
Master subject was “Healing Gardens in Healthcare Facilities”.
She is currently a PhD student in Cairo University in Architectural department in the field of urban
design and specified in the subject of Therapeutic Gardens for Children with Autism.
Manar worked in several academic places as a teaching assistant; Modern Sciences and Arts
University (MSA) and Misr University for Science and Technology (MUST). She worked as an
architect in National Center for Research on Housing and Construction and Palm hills
Development Company.
She worked over researches in the topics of Resilient Cities and Resilient Buildings during her
study in the PhD’s preliminary studies and interested in the field of Healing Gardens, Therapeutic
landscape in Hospitals and Effective outdoor spaces for Children with Autism.

Safy Hassan

With Honors on 2008, She had earned her Bachelor degree of Architectural Engineering at Cairo University, along to achieve the first rank of her class on the preliminary studies of Master’s Degree in Environmental Design and planning, Department of Architecture, at the same university on 2009.


Over the past 10 year, She had specialized in designing, leading and managing large Health care and urban planning projects, from conception schematic, design development, detailed drawings to completion.

On 2014, joined "Erasmus Hospital Build Fellowship", in Netherlands , to explore the latest concepts of Healing environment in hospitals.


Currently Hold the position of  ‘Design and Presentation section head’ at the German firm

Experienced in a wide range of Healthcare Design and aware with the international and local design standards (HAAD FGI , IHFG , FGI , NFPAA , Egyptian Code and AIA).
Gained Experience in the field from multicultural areas : Saudi Arabia ,Iraq, Egypt, Europe.
