Resilience City “Idea &Concept “
July 28 , 2018
Urban designers work beyond their disciplines to develop frameworks, concepts and tools with other fields of expertise to overcome challenges that threaten city quality of life, socio-economical challenges, and other environmental conflicts. How do we ensure that these systems continue to operate and stay robust despite increasing threats? How can we design with limited resources and recover after a big hit? How instrumental is the field of urban design in the ongoing conversation that surrounds issues that deal with the thematic of resilience within the city?
Future City
July 29 - July 30
The ‘Cities of tomorrow’ reflection process will provide inspiration for policymakers
and practitioners involved in urban development, whether at local,
regional, national or international level.
Parametric Design & Urbanism
July 31 - August 2, 2018
This Parametric Design Sessions will introduce participants to the Fundamental Concepts and Essential Skills necessary for effectively designing with Grasshopper for Rhinoceros. In a fast-paced and hands-on learning environment, participants will explore concepts such as Object Attributes/Parameters, Data Types, Data Structures, Composing Algorithms, as well as the creation and manipulation of Computational Geometry through parametric modeling interface.
From Gray to Green
August 4 - August 6 , 2018
Green infrastructure practices such as green roofs and tree planting can provide increased opportunities for urban agriculture and urban foraging. Urban agriculture can include a multitude of benefits to urban areas, including economic development, recreational and community-
